01 / THE STARTING POINT
An ambitious reference. A visit to the workshop.
A design in search of a maker
The client approached SORVENO after several factories had declined to make the counter shown in their reference image.
A decision made in person
The group CEO flew from northeastern China to Guangzhou to inspect our factory and discuss how the design could be developed for manufacture.
02 / DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Turning the silhouette into a workable design.
We analysed the visual effect and proposed a developed solution, adjusting the form for the project while retaining the long, rounded worktop and sweeping curved profile.
The client requested a bronze tone in place of the reference colour.
03 / DIMENSIONS & MATERIALS
A finish chosen around the brief and budget.
Material selection had to address both the desired appearance and the client's concerns about a counter used for beverage service.
Bronze-tone metallic paint
A metallic paint finish was selected for the body to suit the budget, with the colour adjusted to the client's bronze-tone brief.
Brushed stainless steel worktop
The supplied drawing specifies a bronze-tone brushed stainless steel worktop, distinct from the painted body.
Water exposure considered
The client asked about durability in beverage service. We discussed the coating and water-protection approach as part of the material decision.

04 / BEHIND THE CURVE
A sculptural front. Storage behind it.
The interior was developed with storage space for the client's daily use. Drawers and a cabinet are integrated into the wider part of the counter body.
The rear view shows how the storage fits within the curved profile.
05 / WORKSHOP TO DISPATCH
Completed, packed and ready to leave.
The counter was packed in a wooden crate for dispatch from the workshop.
