01 / THE CHALLENGE

A demanding brief, still waiting for the right result.

The contractor came to SORVENO after an earlier supplier’s result fell short of the intended red-copper effect. Further supplier discussions had not resolved the requirements.

Our task was to develop a workable solution around the required appearance, materials and everyday use.

02 / MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT

Resolve the finish. Select the stone.

We developed and compared material samples to refine the red-copper appearance, then coordinated selection of the natural grey marble for the working surface.

Sampling connected the visual brief with the materials to be used in production.

03 / INTO PRODUCTION

Developing the rounded form for manufacture.

Design development carried the curved silhouette into fabrication and assembly, coordinating the body, upper counter and internal working area.

The workshop photographs record components before the final finish and protection during production.

04 / THE WORKING DETAILS

A clean exterior. A practical working side.

Recessed finger pulls keep the drawer fronts visually clean. The rear working area brings together the grey marble surface and integrated drawers.

Soft-close hinges and drawer runners formed part of the contractor’s specification.
